On 28 October 2026, the 33rd China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair was underway in Yangling, Shaanxi. MEINONG ROBOT CO., LIMITED demonstrated on site a grape-picking robot that has reached commercial maturity. That day’s CCTV Xinwen Zhibojian (News Live Room) gave the fair a detailed report under the item “Technology in the field: southern fruit grown in the north.” CCTV correspondent Jiang Shulin stood at the grape-picking robot booth and followed the flexible arm as it lined up on a cluster and set it down gently.

Founder Li Deyong, identified on air as a participant, said the standard for that motion is three characters: zero fruit damage. Placement friction must stay below 50 grams. Fifty grams is lighter than a few sheets of A4 paper, and the place-down must be lighter still than holding those sheets, so the fruit is fully protected.

On the fair’s opening day, related footage also appeared on CCTV Xinwen Lianbo. See MEINONG at the 33rd Yangling fair, featured on Xinwen Lianbo.
